Toray is also committed to being a good neighbor. The company launched its sustainability initiative in 2004. That includes the operating of three solar farms, two cogeneration plants, energy and water conservation, recycling, and zero-landfill. Customers value our efforts to minimize our carbon footprint, as does the Rhode Island community.

As a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and Association of Plastics Recyclers, we aim to help organize for universal recycling standards and industry alignment that will enable investments in next-generation hardware for film production, recycling, and the use of post-consumer scrap.
