Due to ongoing inflationary pressures across most cost categories, including PET feedstocks, labor, utilities, freight and storage, and packaging materials, Toray Plastics (America) is announcing a price increase of $0.12/lb on all PET film products effective with shipments on or after May 15, 2024.

As you are aware, we at Toray strive to improve productivity and to reduce internal costs so that such measures can generally be avoided. However, after 18 months of “destocking” in most markets that we serve, prices have been driven to unsustainable lows, and this step has become necessary to allow us to maintain our long-term ability to provide industry-leading technology and product quality while offering the reliable service upon which our customers have come to rely.
