Toray Plastics (America) Supports The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp’S 25Th Annual “Big Apple Bash”

North Kingstown, Rhode Island (December 7,  2016)—For a quarter of a century The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a community dedicated to providing “a different kind of healing” to seriously ill children and their families through a variety of year-round programs, has celebrated with its New York Camp community at its annual “Big Apple Bash.” This year the event raised a record $1.5 million for the Camp’s programs. Toray Plastics (America), Inc. (www.toraytpa.com), was among the proud sponsors of the event.

The fun-filled day began with “HallowBowl” at Bowlmor in Times Square where guests enjoyed bowling, arcades, billiards, ping pong, and refreshments. At the after-party at the Hard Rock Café, the Camp’s CEO, Jimmy Canton, spoke about the fundraiser’s importance in helping the Camp sustain and grow its programs. A camper named Braeden told guests why the Camp has been meaningful to him and played guitar music he wrote when he was at Camp. The Camp friend and actor Amir Arison and Braeden emceed a Halloween costume fashion show.

“The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp is a remarkable organization that helps restore joy and laughter to children and their families who are dealing with the stress and uncertainty of serious illness,” says Christopher Roy, Vice President and General Manager, Torayfan® Division, Toray Plastics (America). “We always look forward to participating in this wonderful annual celebration and feel privileged to be able to support the Camp in some small way.”

The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp (www.holeinthewall.org), founded in 1988 by Paul Newman, delivers fun, friendship and a healthy dose of mischief through its signature summer program and weekend sessions at the Camp facility in Ashford, Connecticut, as well as outreach to hospitals, clinics and communities across the Northeast.
